Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need therapy?

One of my go-to quotes says, Looking for a sign, is a sign” - Unknown. If you have taken the time to look into therapy & ended up on my page, chances are you already “know.”

Seeking therapy is a deeply personal journey…some people seek therapy after experiencing traumatic life events, due to patterns of unstable relationships, because they are seeking inner peace or because they are “tired of being tired.” Whatever the reason, you should commit to therapy when you are ready to acknowledge, confront and heal whatever pains you.

How often will we meet?

That depends on you and your unique needs. Attending therapy weekly or every other week are the most common frequencies. If you are not sure which will best meet your needs, contact me and we can discuss!

What are your rates?

Intakes are $150, therapy sessions are $150 each.

Some accommodations may be available for those requesting reduced fees. Please contact me for more information.

Good Fatih Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

Do you accept insurance?

If you are in Minnesota - Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)

If you are in Texas - United Healthcare, Aetna, Oscar Health & Oxford

What if I have different insurance? Private pay is an option or you can check with your insurance to determine if you have out of network benefits. If you have out of network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. I recommend you contact your insurance company to determine if you are eligible for reimbursement.

Where are you located?

Right now, my practice is 100% virtual and I am accepting client in Minnesota and Texas. All sessions will take place via teletherapy platform that is HIPPA compliant.
